How to build for beginners

Edit mode

Goto a sandbox.

To find a sandbox click the search button and search after "sandbox".

If you are on the sandbox right-click somewhere
and select Create from the pie menu.

Build a prim

Move the mouse to the point
where you want to build and make a left click.

You just build a prim

By default you will always create a box.

You can select the building block type
by clicking the object tab in the built window(small window)
and selecting the desired type.

You can build boxes,
cylinders,
prisms,
spheres and many other types.

Move a prim

You can easily move a prim by clicking one of the
three colored arrows and moving the mouse
while holding the left mouse button.

Scale a prim

You can easily scale a prim by clicking one its
corners and moving the mouse
while holding the left mouse button.

Select a texture

You can change the texture of the prim.
If you want that all sides of the prim
have the same texture select the texture
tab in the build window and click the
small preview image of the current texture.
