Things you'll need

* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 cup apple juice
* medium saucepan

Combine the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch and apple juice in a medium saucepan. Mix the ingredients together well before heating.

Place the pan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until the apple syrup is reduced to the desired consistence.

Serve the syrup warm over pancakes, waffles, french toast, cake, crepes, oatmeal, etc. You can also cool it to serve over ice cream.

Put any excess apple syrup into a covered jar and store in the refrigerator. When you are ready to use it, just heat the syrup in the microwave or put the jar in a pan of water and heat on the stove.
