YourTutorial Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice contains information regarding the use and disclosure of User information collected on YourTutorial.
YourTutorial collects the following information:
- User Information: In order to use YourTutorial, you need to provide certain personally identifiable information (such as your name and email address).
- User Interests: After first Login you are asked for your interests, which can be selected from different groups.
- Cookies: When you visit YourTutorial, we may send cookies to your computer. A cookie is a small text file which contains a string of alphanumeric characters that uniquely identifies your browser.
- Log Files: When you use YourTutorial, our servers automatically record information about the established connections(such as IP, Browser name, etc.). If you use YourTutorial Software within Second Life, your Second Life Name and your unique Second Life User Key is logged.
- Web Beacons: When you use YourTutorial, we may use "Web Beacons" which are used to track the online usage patterns of our Users anonymously.
How YourTutorial uses the information
- In general we use the information to improve the quality and design of YourTutorial.
- We do not use your email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We may, however, use your email address without further consent for administrative purposes.
- We do not use your interests to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We do use your interests to show customized advertisent within the Website and/or Client Software.
- We use cookies, Web Beacons, and log file information to:
(a) remember information to make the YourTutorial sites more comfortable to use
(b) customize and personalize the YourTutorial sites;
(c) monitor information such as total number of visitors, etc.;
(i) We use your Second Life User Name and/or User Key to provide you Web Services from within Second Life.
When YourTutorial discloses information
- We do not share your personally identifiable information (such as name or email address) with other, third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your consent.
- YourTutorial reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable information and/or non-personally-identifiable information that YourTutorial believes
is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Use,
take precautions against liability,
to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations,
to assist government enforcement agencies,
to protect the security or integrity of the YourTutorial Sites,
and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of YourTutorial, our Users or others.
Your Choices
You may decline to submit personally identifiable information. In this case YourTutorial may not be able to provide certain services to you.
Please note that every post, that you do with JSnap, becomes public after a certain time even if you did not publish it. You may, however, delete or change your posts at any time.
Third-party Advertisers
YourTutorial allows other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements within the YourTutorial Sites and JSnap.
These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send advertisements directly to your browser and your JSnap Client.
YourTutorial does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent.
Data Security
YourTutorial uses safeguards to protect your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to YourTutorial. You do so at your own risk.
General
The YourTutorial Sites are hosted in Germany. Please note that through your continued use of the YourTutorial sites, which are governed by the German law, you are transferring your personal information to Germany and you agree to that.
